How I Became a Fan of Han So-hee (Thanks to Jungkook)

It’s funny how sometimes you stumble into someone’s world just because of a music video. That’s what happened to me with Han So-hee. Before the release of Jungkook’s “Seven,” I honestly didn’t know much about her. I had probably seen her face in passing or heard her name mentioned here and there, but nothing clicked. Then that video dropped, and there she was—this stunning woman with expressive eyes, effortless charm, and a kind of quiet power. She didn’t just stand next to Jungkook; she held her own completely. That was the moment I started paying attention.

I remember thinking, “Who is she?” She wasn’t just beautiful—though yes, she’s undeniably gorgeous. There was something more. A certain presence. She has that rare ability to say so much with a glance, even in a short music video. You can’t fake that. So I did what most people do when someone catches their attention: I went straight to Instagram.

Following Han So-hee on Instagram is like getting a window into a very curated yet surprisingly relatable life. Of course, the visuals are stunning. She has this delicate look—petite and graceful—but she also exudes this unbothered coolness. One moment she’s dressed down and goofy with friends or pets, and the next, she’s in a high-fashion editorial, holding a luxury handbag or casually posing in an outfit that probably costs more than my monthly mortgage. And yet, none of it feels forced. That’s the thing—she’s magnetic without trying too hard. You can see why so many brands are eager to have her wear their clothes or hold their products. She’s the kind of person who could make anything look chic.

But as much as her beauty and style drew me in, it’s her work that kept me around.

The first thing I watched after seeing her in “Seven” was Nevertheless. I had seen clips of the drama before and knew it was popular, especially because of the intense chemistry between her and Song Kang. Watching it properly from beginning to end made me realize just how good she is at playing layered characters. Her role in Nevertheless is complicated—torn between desire, doubt, and self-discovery. It would have been easy to play that part with a flat, one-dimensional approach, but Han So-hee gave the character so much emotional depth. You felt her conflict. You understood her silences. You saw her vulnerability without her needing to spell it out.

That drama made me respect her even more because it showed how she’s willing to take on roles that aren’t always “likable” in the traditional sense. She doesn’t play it safe. She’s not afraid to make the audience uncomfortable or make them question the character’s choices. That’s something not every actor can pull off.

Now I’m watching her in My Name, and honestly, I’m blown away. This is a completely different side of Han So-hee—tough, intense, raw. She transforms into someone entirely different from the softer, more romantic roles she’s played before. In My Name, she’s driven by revenge, shaped by trauma, and pushed to the edge. The action scenes alone are enough to earn respect, but it’s her emotional delivery that really hits. She makes you feel every ounce of her character’s pain and determination. Watching her fight, cry, and push through impossible situations is both heartbreaking and empowering.

What I admire most is how fearless she is with her choices. It’s clear that she doesn’t want to be boxed into one kind of image. She’s proven that she can do romance, mystery, action—and she does all of them with a kind of honesty that makes you forget you’re watching a performance. There’s no vanity in her acting. Even in the most intense scenes, she doesn’t seem to be thinking about how she looks or how she’ll be perceived. She’s just fully present in the character, and that makes her incredibly compelling to watch.

As I follow her career more closely, I’ve also come to admire how she’s handling fame. Being in the public eye, especially after appearing in a huge music video like Seven alongside Jungkook, must come with enormous pressure. But she seems to navigate it all with grace. She’s private when she needs to be, but also generous enough to share glimpses of her real life with fans. That balance isn’t easy, but she makes it seem effortless. You can tell she has a strong sense of self, and that kind of quiet confidence is inspiring.

And yes, I won’t lie—I do secretly hope she and Jungkook might reconnect someday. I mean, the chemistry was real. They looked like they had such fun shooting that video, and their energy together was electric. Of course, it’s just a fan fantasy, but it’s hard not to root for something when it feels that natural. Still, even if that never happens, I’m grateful that video introduced me to her world. It opened the door to a new appreciation for an artist who clearly has so much more to offer.

Han So-hee is the kind of actress who keeps surprising you. Just when you think you have her figured out, she shifts into a new role or reveals another layer of herself. And maybe that’s why I’m such a fan now—because she’s not predictable. Because she’s constantly growing. Because she’s more than just a pretty face or a fashion icon. She’s a storyteller, a risk-taker, and a true artist.

It’s been exciting to watch her journey unfold, from the early days to where she is now—headlining dramas, becoming the face of global campaigns, and gaining international fans who discovered her in all kinds of ways. Whether it’s through a K-drama, a music video, or an Instagram post, she’s making a mark.

For me, Han So-hee represents something rare in the entertainment world: someone who is both aspirational and relatable, someone who can embody vulnerability and strength in equal measure. Watching her grow as an actress—and as a public figure—feels like watching someone step fully into their own power. And I can’t wait to see where she goes next.

So yeah, maybe it started with Jungkook’s Seven, but it’s definitely more than that now. I’m officially rooting for Han So-hee. 🤭

  1. There are definitely numerous details like that to take into consideration. That could be a nice level to convey up. I offer the thoughts above as common inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up the place the most important thing will probably be working in sincere good faith. I don?t know if finest practices have emerged round things like that, however I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both girls and boys really feel the affect of only a moment’s pleasure, for the remainder of their lives.
