For 16 years, through highs and lows, my husband has been my rock. His kindness and love have been unwavering, a constant source of strength. Valentine’s Day seems like the perfect moment to express my gratitude for the sacrifices he’s made since our relationship started in 2007.
His daily routine, like dropping me off and picking me up either from work or bus station may seem ordinary, but the consistency and care behind those actions are extraordinary. Even after a fight, he’d turn to YouTube to cook my favorite dish, humba, as a sincere apology. It’s these small yet meaningful gestures that make me appreciate him more each day.
Together, we’ve explored the world, creating memories filled with laughter, fights, and tears. Like any couple, we’ve faced challenges, but the commitment to choose and forgive each other has been the glue that keeps us together. In 2018, our shared dream of a home began taking shape. Witnessing my husband transform into a carpenter, plumber, gardener, and more was inspiring. The stress of building our house was immense, but his dedication to crafting every detail, from the exterior to the bathrooms, showcased his multifaceted talents. Most importantly, amidst the construction chaos, he embraced the role of a father.
As our home neared completion, he expressed a longing for a child. Despite my career-focused mindset, he patiently waited until I was ready. Looking back, I sometimes regret not starting a family earlier, but his response remains heartwarming – our child would not have been Isabella but another one. Now, with her in our lives, our joy knows no bounds.
