At just four months old, Bella experienced the beauty of Herrenhäuser Gärten for the first time, along with my mom and sister, who were in their second month in Germany. This trip was particularly special because, if my memory serves me right, it was our first time visiting the gardens as well. Exploring a place for the first time is always exciting, but getting to do it together—especially with Bella—made it even more memorable.
Herrenhäuser Gärten is huge, a breathtakingly beautiful garden filled with carefully maintained landscapes, fountains, and vibrant flower displays. It was early July, and the flowers were in full bloom, making everything look even more magical. For my mom and sister, it was a wonderful experience—seeing the elegance of the gardens, admiring the colorful blossoms, and simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. And for Bella, even at just four months old, it was another chance to take in new sights, new colors, and the gentle warmth of summer.
We spent a lot of time walking around, checking each spot, and looking for the best places to take photos. The gardens had so many picture-perfect corners, from manicured hedges to grand fountains, that we couldn’t help but stop every now and then to capture the moment. The size of the place made it feel like an adventure, and although Bella wouldn’t remember it, we knew these memories would be something she could look back on through our photos.
Getting to the gardens wasn’t as simple as we had planned. In fact, this trip was actually our second attempt. On our first try, our train had to stop in Minden due to an accident ahead, and we had no choice but to return home. It was disappointing, but we didn’t let it stop us. The following Saturday, we tried again, and this time, everything went smoothly. We arrived in Hannover without any issues and were finally able to enjoy the gardens the way we had hoped.
After exploring the gardens, we decided to roam around Hannover a little more, taking in the city’s atmosphere. It was nice to just walk through the streets, observe the surroundings, and get a feel of the place. At one point, we stopped for ice cream, which made the stroll even more enjoyable. There’s something about wandering through a city with an ice cream in hand that makes everything feel more relaxed and carefree.
This trip to Herrenhäuser Gärten and Hannover was a beautiful blend of nature, family time, and new experiences. It was proof that sometimes, even when things don’t go as planned the first time, trying again can lead to a perfect day. And for Bella, it was another little adventure—one of many more to come.
