Bella’s first trip to Cologne was a special one, and it was also a first for my mom and sister. We started our day by visiting the magnificent Cologne Cathedral. The stunning architecture took our breath away, and we couldn’t resist taking plenty of photos. We also went inside to pay our respects, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of this beautiful landmark. The city was filled with tourists, as it was mid-June, but it didn’t take away from the joy of being there.
After exploring the cathedral, we were ready for some lunch, so we headed to a Chinese buffet. It was just what we needed to refuel after walking around and enjoying the sights, especially with the summer heat in full swing.
Following lunch, we wandered through the shopping street, taking in the lively energy of the city. It was a nice mix of shops, people, and vibrant street life. We had fun browsing and chatting as we explored the area together.
Next, we crossed the bridge to get a different view of the cathedral and the city. From the other side of the river, the sight of the cathedral was even more impressive. Bella, at just 4 months old, was the perfect little traveler. She was content the whole time, happily observing everything around her with wide eyes, making the trip even more enjoyable for all of us.
My mom, usually shy when it comes to being photographed, was surprisingly playful! She got into the fun of posing for the camera, laughing and enjoying the moment with us. On the other hand, my sister Rhea was the total fashionista. She always knows how to strike the perfect pose, making every photo look effortlessly chic.
The drive back home was smooth, thanks to my husband, who made sure we traveled safely and comfortably. It wasn’t our first time in Cologne, but it was so much fun showing my mom, sister and Bella around. We left with beautiful memories and a lot of photos to remember this wonderful day spent together.
