In March 2014, I celebrated my first birthday in Europe, and my husband planned a road trip that became one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. We started our journey from home, passing through the beautiful cities of Magdeburg, Halle, and Dresden. But the real highlight of our adventure awaited us in Prague—a city that felt like it was straight out of a fairytale.
Prague welcomed us with its rich history and breathtaking architecture. As we wandered through its cobblestone streets, every building seemed to tell a story. The crisp spring air made exploring even more enjoyable, adding a fresh and magical touch to our journey. One of the best moments was climbing one of the city’s historic towers, where we were rewarded with a panoramic view of Prague’s red rooftops, historic landmarks, and the Vltava River gracefully winding through the city. Walking across Charles Bridge felt like stepping back in time. The intricate statues that lined the bridge seemed to whisper stories of the past as we crossed over the Vltava River. On our way back, we stopped in Leipzig, a city that felt like the perfect ending to our road trip. Its mix of history and modernity added another layer of beauty to our adventure. As we walked through Leipzig’s historic streets, we reflected on the incredible journey we had just taken.
